1 packet Mission Extra Soft Original Tortillas

3 tsp oil

500g beef mince

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp salt

½ tsp pepper

2 cups beef stock

¼ cup corn flour
-
¼ cup water
-
¼ cup cheddar cheese (grated)

¼ cup mozzarella cheese (grated)

1 egg, beaten

2 tbsp milk

Step 1
Preheat oven to 200˚C.
Heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan over medium-high heat and brown mince. Use a wooden spoon to break up the mince. -
Step 2
Once the mince is browned reduce heat to medium add garlic, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce and beef stock. Stir and combine well.

In a small bowl make a slurry by combining corn flour and water. Add to pan. Stir until the mixture starts to thicken, approximately 1-2 minutes. Once thickened reduce heat to a simmer and leave to cook for 15 minutes.

Cool the mixture for 20 minutes before assembling the pie.

To assemble the pie - coat the bottom and sides of a cast iron pan with 2 tsp of oil.

Place 4 Mission Extra Soft Original Tortillas around the pan in a fan-like shape - tortillas should be half in the pan and half out. Then, add another tortilla in the centre of the pan - this should cover the surface of the pan and will be the bottom of the pie.

Add mince filling in the centre of the pan and spread out evenly to the edge.

Add cheese on top of the mince.

Step 9
Fold overhangs of side tortillas towards the centre of the pan followed by a whole tortilla on top.

Mix egg and milk in a small bowl to create an egg wash. Brush over tortillas generously.

Bake for 20 minutes until the edges start to brown.

Cool for 10-15 minutes before cutting/serving.
