Instructions
-
Step 1
To create the dipping sauce, combine yoghurt, garlic powder, lemon juice and salt in a small bowl. Mix well. Place in the fridge until ready to serve.
-
Step 2
Combine lamb mince, minced garlic, feta, parsley, spices and chilli paste in a medium bowl. Mix well using your hands.
-
Step 3
Heat up 4 Mission Pita Pockets in the microwave, as per packet direction.
-
Step 4
Separate each pita pocket into halves. Add a couple of spoonfuls of the mince filling into each half.*
-
Step 5
Heat oil in a shallow fry pan over medium-high heat. Add 2 pita pocket halves into the pan and cook for approximately 2 - 3 minutes on each side, pressing down for an even cook. Cook for a few seconds on the opening of the pita pocket halves to brown filling. Place cooked pita pocket halves onto a paper towel to absorb any excess oil. Repeat this step for the remaining pita pocket halves.**
-
Step 6
Place the cooked pita pocket halves onto a chopping board. Serve with your prepared dipping sauce.
*Mission Tip - don't fill the halves with too much mince as it won't cook through in the pan.
**If the pita pockets are browning too quickly, adjust the heat to allow the mince filling to cook through.
